Located just 2.5 km from Nilambur, the hanging bridge is made in the suspension model. At 142 metres in length and 1.2 metres in width, it has been built across the Chaliyar river, leading to Connolly’s Plot, one of the oldest teak plantations in the world. The hanging bridge, constructed in 2008, is one of the many hanging bridges in Kerala. A flight of stairs takes you to the bridge. It can be a fun experience for some and scary to others as the structure moves when walked on. It also offers a view of Chaliyar river in all its beauty. The majestic teak trees at Connolly’s Plot provide a magical atmosphere with pathways taking you deep into the heart of the teak plantation.
