Around 15km from Nilambur, the rainforest is home to rare species of flora and fauna. A three-hour trek will take you to Manakadavu waterfalls. It is located 18km from Nilambur. The forest area is also home to the oldest teak plantation in the world, the history of which begins in the 1840s. It is spread across an area of 2.3 hectares.
